Gardner & Rosenberg served as pro bono counsel to two elderly inmates forced to walk great distances outside every day during the winter for meals and dialysis treatment. The DOC refused to provide the inmates winter clothing. The Superior Court had sided with the DOC. Today the Massachusetts Appeals Court sided with our clients, reversed the Superior Court decision, and ordered the DOC to provide winter clothing to the inmates.
